Maria Sousa is a native Brazilian dancer and performer who has featured in many Carnaval productions both in Brazil  and the USA. Her group, Aquarela, is the preeminent Brazilian dance ensemble in Northern California. The group performs regularly at public and private events nationwide and abroad.

Carlos Aceituno’s artistic background encompasses  Latin, Afro-Brazilian, Jazz, modern, and African music and dance. Oakland classes take place at Citicentre Dance Theatre Oakland.
